Event History

Tables That Bloom has been a meaningful event for the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter of Delta Gamma over the last four years, raising over $82,000 to donate to the local Foundation For Blind Children (FBC) and national Delta Gamma Foundation (DGFN). The event features brilliant tablescapes by local designers of all different backgrounds, as well an inspiring keynote speaker. We have had amazing participation including planners, volunteers, designers, speakers, corporate sponsors, 200+ attendees each year, 125+ auction donations, and financial donors! Every single dollar and every single minute of time was needed and truly appreciated – thank you to all who have helped us “Do Good!” Our Tables That Bloom events have been even more successful than we even envisioned. In our first year, we even broke the Delta Gamma Foundation’s record of the most raised in a single event by an alumnae chapter since the Foundation began tracking donations!

The Phoenix Alumnae Chapter of Delta Gamma is a group of diverse and talented women who share a common bond: a lifelong sisterhood. Recently given the highest honor of “Outstanding Chapter” in Division III at Delta Gamma Convention 2016, this group is made up of a thousand women of all ages from around the country now living in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The Phoenix Alumnae chapter enjoys a variety of programming in areas of social, philanthropic, and personal development. Fifty years ago, the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter was one of three groups who were instrumental in the formation of the Blind Children’s School through the establishment of the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix. Still today, Phoenix DGs have participated in many hands-on activities to help those who are visually impaired. The Phoenix Alumnae Chapter has and continues to support the efforts of the Foundation for Blind Children with fundraising events and service hours.
