  • What will be the inspiration for your table at Tables That Bloom this year?
My inspiration for my table will be a field of blossoming flowers. It will be bright, colorful, and playful. I want my table to express the beauty behind what it feels like when walking through a field of blossoming flowers. For me there’s feelings of hope, promise, joy and love. This in turn, also represents the Foundation for Blind Children. The hope, promise, joy and love that is nurtured through the children they support.
  • How do you define “success” in your business?
I define success in my business when I know my employees and clients are happy.
  • What is your background and how did you get into the design field?
My background is residential interior design. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to pursue a career change after a life-altering incident. I didn’t find my passion in interior design until later in life. It actually surprised me when I found myself loving my first drafting class. After that, I did everything I could to obtain my BA in this business.
  • Who is your creative hero?
Besides the obvious, my husband, children, and nature; the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Kelly Wearstler and Victoria Hagen.
  • What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my tenacity. I do not give up on things I truly believe in.
  • If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
If I could be any animal, I would be a dog because they have an insatiable amount of love to give.
  • What do you like to do in your free time, aside from your craft?
In my free time, I love being with my family and friends. I also have a passion for food, I love to cook and eat. And I enjoy movies.
  • What makes your design work unique?
I believe that my design work is unique because I don’t design to the trends. I design with the client, architecture and surroundings in mind. Design is a harmonious interaction between beauty, function, and comfortability. I want my clients’ home to be a collection of things that represent who they are and what they love.
